Taylor

Veterinary Assistant/CSR

Hi, I’m Taylor a veterinary assistant here at Canyon Pet Hospital with 4 years experience in the veterinary field. I have always been drawn to the world of veterinary medicine. From a young age, my love for animals was evident, often trying to persuade my mom to let me keep just about every stray animal I found. This childhood passion blossomed into a fulfilling career that I wholeheartedly adore. I grew up in Sunny Southern California and that is where I was lucky enough to meet a man that loves animals just about as much as I do. We got married and moved to Indiana.

After spending five adventurous years in Indiana and collecting a few pets. We both felt the pull of the west coast’s beauty and the desire to be closer to family, prompting our return back west. I wear many hats here at Canyon. Being a versatile team member is something I pride myself on. You may see me up front in a customer service role, assisting the doctors with exams, and more recently and excitingly in surgery.

She takes pride in her work and has had a lifelong passion to work with animals. She genuinely loves interacting with our clients, often you will hear her sharing a personal pet experience to help ease anyone’s stress or heartbreak. When given the opportunity she takes the time to educate clients, helping make a positive impact on the pet parent’s life and pet. Melissa loves all breeds of cats and dogs, but specifically loves golden retrievers and dalmatians. When a dalmatian walks through the door, she will always try to find a heart shaped spot. But let’s be honest, nothing will compare to her favorite animal, a killer whale!
